Restricted Items

1. General Restriction Notice

Volex Solutions Logistics does not accept shipments that are prohibited by law, unsafe for transport, restricted by carrier policy, or non-compliant with customs, aviation, or logistics regulations in the United Kingdom or destination country.

2. Dangerous Goods

Dangerous goods, hazardous substances, combustible materials, explosives, and other items classified under applicable air cargo or transport safety rules may not be accepted unless specifically permitted, properly declared, and lawfully packaged in accordance with relevant carrier and regulatory requirements.

3. Commonly Prohibited Items

Examples of prohibited items may include currency, negotiable instruments, precious metals, precious stones, works of art, antiques, pharmaceuticals, firearms, animals, plants, perishables, explosives, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, passports, identity documents, and pornographic material.

4. United Kingdom-Specific Restrictions

Additional restrictions may apply in the United Kingdom, including but not limited to animal fur, live animals, gambling devices, human remains including ashes, hunting trophies, ivory, imitation explosive devices, imitation ammunition, imitation firearms or weapons, and certain plant or animal products.

5. Restricted Goods Requiring Approval

Certain goods may require prior approval, special permits, customs clearance documentation, or carrier acceptance review before shipment. These may include regulated health products, controlled electronics, food items, or other goods subject to destination-country restrictions.

6. Packaging and Declaration

Senders are responsible for accurately declaring contents and ensuring that all items are securely packaged for ordinary handling during transport. Failure to declare restricted contents or failure to package goods properly may result in refusal, delay, seizure, return, or disposal of the shipment.

7. Inspection Rights

Volex Solutions reserves the right to inspect, reject, suspend, return, or report any shipment that appears unsafe, prohibited, misdeclared, or otherwise non-compliant with applicable shipping standards or legal requirements.

8. Final Determination

The final decision on whether an item may be accepted for transport remains subject to operational review, applicable law, destination-country rules, and carrier or customs restrictions in force at the time of shipment.
